[edit] Why

To cook, eat, drink, swallow, and live life

[edit] Do I bring anything?

You should bring food, things to cook, things to smoke, and things to drink. It can get cold on Ocean Beach, so bring a coat. Note that alcohol is not allowed on Ocean Beach, so don't make a big spectacle when you bring it - all alcohol will be ditched at dark due to trooper sweeps. Bring your friends. Bring your loved ones. Bring your dog: off leash is allowed.

Tips for drinking on Ocean Beach:
1. Re-use soda or vitamin water bottles for darker colored drinks
2. Drink vodka or other clear colored booze out of water bottles
3. Keep flasks and handles hidden and out of sight at all times
4. Bring juice mixers as pre-mixed in the juice bottle
5. Do not drink beer out of the bottle, hide all bottles

Up for grabs:

  • Folding Tables(s)
  • Towels to cover the ground near where food is prepared / served
  • Beach Chair(s)
  • Your mom
  • Ice Box
  • Lots and lots of fire wood - best if everyone brings a box
  • Rake for pre/post cleanup
  • Music

[edit] What to bring for 2011 (lessons from 2008-2010)

  • Covered serving plates
  • Beach mats
  • Larger table
  • Booze amount OK (24 bottles beer, 1 ltr margaritas, 1 ltr burrbon, 1 bottle OP, 1 bottle scotch, 2 bottles wine, 1 bottle champagne, 1 handle vodka, 72 Capri Sun juice packs)
  • Wood Amount OK (10 boxes)
  • 50% less meat ( 18 patties, 18 sausage, 18 dogs, 4lbs of carne asada)
  • Tofu Pups and packet-sized condiments
